Jayawardene achieved this feat on 8th July 2013 during a match against Australia in the Tri-Nation Series. He scored an unbeaten 84 runs in that match, which helped him to reach the 10,000 run milestone. Jayawardene finished his ODI career with a total of 12,650 runs, which is the fifth-highest in ODI history.

Jayawardene was known for his elegant stroke play and his ability to play both aggressive and defensive innings. He was also a brilliant fielder and an occasional off-spin bowler. During his career, he played in 448 ODI matches and scored 19 centuries and 77 half-centuries. He achieved this feat in his 272nd ODI innings, making him the fourth fastest player to reach this milestone at that time, after Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and Ricky Ponting. Kallis went on to finish his ODI career with 11,579 runs in 328 innings, at an average of 45.79.

Kallis was a prolific run-scorer and a reliable bowler in both Tests and ODIs, and his achievements in both formats of the game are a testament to his all-round abilities. Virat Kohli is an Indian cricketer and one of the best batsmen in the world. He achieved the milestone of 10000 ODI runs on October 24, 2018, in the second ODI against the West Indies. He became the fastest batsman to reach the 10000 ODI runs mark, achieving the feat in just 205 innings. Kohli broke the previous record held by Sachin Tendulkar, who had taken 259 innings to reach the same milestone.

Kohli made his ODI debut for India in August 2008 and has since then gone on to become one of the most consistent performers for the Indian cricket team. He has scored over 12000 runs in ODI cricket with an average of over 59, including 43 centuries and 63 half-centuries.
